Why can't the Democratic candidates figure out that if they keep tearing each other apart they won't have a chance of winning the election.?

Everyone with a D behind their name will vote Blue and if Bernie is the candidate, the majority of his agenda will be blocked in the House and Senate.

Who's been torn apart? Candidates have to differentiate themselves from each other, in order to get ahead. They can't just sit around singing "Kumbaya, we all hate Trump" (well, I guess they could, but that would be far worse).
Besides, if they can't take some attacks, then Trump will tear them to pieces in the general election.

Why do you say that? in 2016 the GOP primaries were nasty, offensive, and Trump was terrible, but he still one the election.
