Is it worth it to be broke in your 20s/30s but have millions of dollars in your 50s?

If you make it to your 50s

Is this hypothetical? Or did you hit the jackpot?

Yes, it is. You must build up savings for the miracle of compounding interest to take effect. Then you won't have to continue to work for money, your money will work for you. Buy assets with your money when you are young, not consumable goods which perish. There are many people who face retirement with no assets, nor the hope of building any wealth in the short time they have left.

No, it's not worth it. Having money is important.

It's worth it to have millions of dollars at any time in your life as long as you don't spend it all long before you die.

What?... Did you hit the lottery or something in your 50s? Or what the hell did you invent?
