(a) What is the centripetal acceleration ca of the car in m/s^2 ?

ca = V^2/r = (40.5/3.6)^2/200 = 0.633 m/sec^2

(b) What is the centripetal force cF in N ?

cF = m*ca = W/g*ca = 13600/9.806*0.633 = 878 N

(c) What is the minimum coefficient of static friction μ

s between the tires and the road that will allow the car to round the curve safely?

μs*W = cF

μs = cF /W = 878/13,600 = 0.065
