Religious people can't help being brain dead as they are brain washed from childhood to believe what they are told by their preachers.

This is a “slippery slope” argument. It compares one thing to something terrible and then says that the two things are linked, or that one causes the other, is no different than the other or something like that.

Don’t even bother trying to figure out an intelligent come back. Simply say that the two things are completely unrelated and call them out on how ridiculous it is.

The lgbt community got loads of slippery slope arguments hurled at us when we were working hard for marriage equality. Well guess what - we have it in the usa - at least for now - and the world did not end.

If you want to read more into it - google  slippery slope arguments and how to handle  them.

What do you think of the 'because it's gross" response to both?

comparing incest with homosexuality is a logical fallacy, considering how incest isn't a sexual orientation

whether the person is straight or homosexual is irrelevant to the meaning of incest,  since the only definition of incest is simply having sexual relations with a relative
