    They say so, but the laws of economics say that it won't but will have the opposite effect because fewer suppliers competing means higher prices, whereas the lowest prices are realized when there are infinite suppliers competing for customers that demand their product or service.

    Lower prices for what? Budget phones and prepaid plans? Maybe.

    High end phones and all you can eat, data, Hotspot and international talk, text and roaming data? Nope.
