Do progressives who want free college and Medicare for All understand that money doesn’t grow on trees?

There’s a reason why so many college students are in debt too and that’s because of the overspending of the government.  Do progressives realize this?

Progressives are far too detached from reality. Free college really means free for college kids, while us taxpayers take the burden of paying for it.

How does overspending by the government cause people to have student debt? People have student debt because they fell for the LIE that they had to go to college to get a job. Parents and teachers spread this LIE every day. Trade schools are faster, less expensive, don't waste time on unnecessary classes like English Lit, and actually prepare you for the job you are trying to get.

Oh, but republicans told me that money does grow on trees. That if I don’t make enough money at my job, it’s because I’m too lazy and stupid to go pick money from the money trees.

College Students are in debt because of the overspending of government? And somehow most European countries manage to make health care free and public colleges free, while the richest country in the world doesn't.

considering how canada and all of scandinavia have most of their tuition pretty much covered and have a single payer healthcare system.

I'm curious to know if you think they are naive to not know that money doesn't grow on trees??

america is in bigger debt than those countries despite not having a single payer healthcare system and having ridiculously high tuition costs

america technically does have the budget to make health care and college tuition covered, but we do a poor job in budgeting our money

College costs have gone through the roof because of how the government has handled student loans. If they just left them alone instead of meddling to try to increase access student loan debt wouldn't be ruining people like it is.

What's insane is that liberals want people to believe that they are qualified to fix the problem when it is their ideology that caused the problem in the first place.

The US is the only developed country without medical assistance in place, how come every other developed country finds the money and the apparent number one economy in the world can't?

As for free education you can be sensible about it, someone doing media studies shouldn't get that for free but maybe someone training to be a nurse should.
