why does my dog bite me when they kiss me?

When my dog kisses me they bite me a little bit. They are like little nips.

It's simply because they have so much jaw movement when they kiss and lick back and don't really know they need to control their lips more.  Just let out a little yelp and pull back when there's a nip to communicate that what he/she did hurt you, and then go back to kissing to show that there's no hard feelings and you trust them.  The dog will understand and will learn to be a little more gentle.  Just be sure to keep their teeth brushed with a minty pet-safe toothpaste to keep their mouth clean and breath kissably fresh.

Because you haven't trained him/her NOT to. This could turn into BITING and these "little nips" could easily break the skin of a child or someone elderly. TRAIN your dog and DON'T allow this.

Let me guess - Pit Bull?
