No, because you would need to specify how much you drank and whether Friday is the only day you drink.

If you drink 2 units or less, yes, 2-4 units is dodgy, any more is immoderate. Certainly going for an alcohol binge and getting drunk is very immoderate, even if only for one evening a week. This could easily escalate to two evenings and then to more if you are not careful. The recommended WEEKLY limit 14 units per week, is just that, intended to be spread over several days, not consumed in one weekly binge, and at least 2 dry days per week are recommended. You need to know the ABV of each drink, to calculate units, and remember that any wine consumed with meals in the daytime counts, not just that in the pub in the evening. BTW. the recommended limits I quote are from the GB Health department, if you live elsewhere, the general risks are the same but your health department may have different guidelines.

The frequency of drinking that you identify is moderate.

But HOW MUCH you drink may or may not be moderate.  You do not say how MUCH you drink when you drink.

Mostly that depends on your age and your gender:

If you are either gender, under the age of drinking, safe drinking is to NEVER drink more than 1 to 2 drinks on any occasion.

If you are over 18 and male, it is never more than 3 drinks on any occasion. And for females, never more than 2 drinks on any occasion.

Rememer that alcohol IS a poison. That is why you become drunk on it. And yes, one CAN die from drinking too much alcohol, although most people just start vomiting before they reach that point.

Also, alcohol DOES damage to both your brain and liver. Not significant for one instance of drinking, but the impact builds up over time. And since the human brain does not finish growing until you are in your early-mid 20's, brain damage from alcohol before then will not visibly impair you ... it will permanently diminish some of your ability to work with your emotional control, impulse control and make your life and relationships work well for you.  And this can keep you from being as successful and happy as you want to be, throughout the remainder of your adult life.

Depends on how much you drink on Friday night.

I often work Saturdays, so for me it'd be a no-no.

    Not if you binge drink.

It is moderation if you drink no more than 8 ounces of alcohol each week

Drinking a week's worth in one night is not moderation. That's binge drinking.
