Is it bad to have gingivitis and decalcification on teeth at age 10?

    Yes it is and sad. I blame it on poor parenting. I was having teeth pulled in primary school because my mother allowed me to have a sugar diet and never made me brush my teeth. You'd think she would have learned from getting a full set of dentures at 21.

    lt's not that uncommon, but it's pretty bad regardIess. Steps shouId be taken to address it. Proper and reguIar brushing (incIuding the gums) and fIossing are necessary. Most mouthwashes shouId be avoided (unIess recommended by a dentist) except for maybe childrens fluoride rinse. lf the chiId has a Iow caIcium diet, low doses of caIcium supplements shouId be added. Don't overdo it, as too much caIcium can be harmfuI and Iead to future probIems.
