Find a number k such that the function f(x)=11x^3+kx^2−8x+k contains the point (1,8)?

    8 = 11 * 1^3 + k * 1^2 - 8 * 1 + k

    8 = 11 - 8 + k + k

    8 = 3 + 2k

    5 = 2k

    5/2 = k

    It's that easy.
