Viruses can last a few days on surfaces but their potency decreases. In the time it takes for stuff to arrive from China any virus should be dead.

Under normal conditions, the virus lasts for roughly 30 minutes outside of a host, so unless you're paying for some insane postage, you should be fine.  Of course this does make it look really silly when you see the Chinese driving trucks down the street, spraying sanitizer all over the empty streets and sidewalks.

Regardless of this virus, I DO NOT order anything from China these days.   All too often it either doesn't arrive, or takes forever to arrive, or is rubbish when it does arrive!!

If you don't feel happy to import from that country, don't.

Well, we know it's transferred person to person so unless you're getting a mail order husband you're prefectly safe to order anything from China.
