No, he is not your boyfriend or fiancé. No, he is not an American. No, he is not in the American military. No, he is not stationed in Nigeria.

He is a Nigerian dealing with a gullible, foolish, lonely woman clueless enough to pay no attention to experienced people who tell her the truth about this fake “love story.”  Your “beloved” is a Nigerian con arist looking to cheat you out of as much money as he possibly can and leave you penniless and destitute.

Now, if you want to piss away your hard-earned money and get absolutely nothing in return then let me know and I will provide information so you can clean out your checking and savings accounts and sell your house and car then send it to me, in return for which I will suddenly disappear and never contact you again...

...just like your “fiancé” sitting in the local bar in Nigeria is going to do while he and his buddies use your money to drink, smoke and party.

If you get the impression I am calling you stupid, you are at least smart enough to figure THAT out.

NO ONE pays customs fees to LEAVE anywhere. Customs are involved when items, not people, ENTER a country. Even in countries that have a 'departure tax', it doesn't apply to military personnel on military flights.

In addition, 100% of the costs of returning to the US after serving overseas is paid by the military, not individual members.

If someone is claiming to be a member of the US military in need of money to return from ANYWHERE, you can be absolutely certain that EVERYTHING the tell you is a lie. They are not a member of the military. The are not in whatever country they claim to be in. Even if the name and photo are of an actual member of the US military, they are not those of the person you are communicating with.

There is no such thing as "customs fees" for people.

Military personnel do NOT have to pay any fee to leave a country.

The US does not have military personnel in Nigeria.

The person you are chatting with is a scammer.  Any pictures you see are fake.

It’s a SCAM!!!  Those in the US military do not have to pay to come home from deployment. The military pays for their transport. hey do not need to have anyone fill out paperwork for them or anything else. The only truth about the persons profile is they are in Nigeria. But that is because they ARE Nigerian using stolen photos and a fake profile to get money and items out of people. There are no US military personnel in Nigeria who would be online looking for romance.  STOP all communications, block them and if you have sent anything file a report with the local police and the FBI. Do not fall for someone on a date site claiming to be in the military, medical, oil or engineering. Definitely do not fall for someone who asks to be your friend through FB or IG
