Why is it like this?

I've noticed that alot of people who make it in music today never had passion for it at all and just did it for fun and then blew up, vs others who really grind and who have passion it take longer for them? why?

Because most people who grind are pretentious and narcissistic and they often imitate other artists. People who don't really care for it have no restrictions: they write what they like, in their style etc, and that is unique and the world is always after something unique.

Talent plays into it. You can  have passion, work hard and not have talent. It even if you do have the talent too, maybe not you don’t have the luck required. “Making it” is not supposed to be the goal of the artist. It should be about the art. If you think making it is the goal then you aren’t a true artist.

Could be reasons like say the rappers who just have fun with it may do stupid things to appeal to kids and blow up. Some have tons of money go into advertising that they are bad but do things to market themselves so much people just stick with them. Some may do something really good or make a really good thought out song or a couple to get people hooked then start to slack cause they are already famous. In the end all overrated.
