in the SEASONING isle  of your local grocery store or the ETHNIC FOODS  isle   or on LINE

Capers AKA Flinders ROSE  its an edible FLOWER BUD  native to the Mediterranean  and some parts of  Asia  usually packed in BRINE  or wine  or SALT curing  they are described to have a "earthy " flavor  they are used in COOKED and uncooked dishes and  paired  or compliment  LEMONS

in COOKED dishes it best to ADD at the end of preparation

they are associated with French Italian Spanish and Greek cooking

Most markets of medium size and larger carry them.

You can get capers in any good supermarket.

They are sold in jars and are usually 'soaked in brine',

but you can get them  'dry salted'.

You should find them in the same place as the pickles. olives and relishes.

In the same way that a raisin is a dried grape, a caper is a dried caperberry.

A good Deli will probably sell caperberries, with the stalk still attached.

Fresh caperberries are about the size of a grape .. and the ones in jars are usually the size of a raisin.

Same area you would find pickles, olives.  Some stores may have an "ethnic" are where you would find Italian products your store may have some there.

There are different sizes so make sure you don't get the HUGE ones.

The same place as I'd purchase them for anything else - a grocery store or supermarket.

In most grocery stores, capers will be in the condiment aisle. That is, wherever the olives and pickles are kept.  Both olives and capers have an almost equally pungent taste, so green olives are great substitutes when you don't have capers at hand.
