If the Democratic party is all about Fair elections and the popular vote, why do they use superdelegates?

Great question!  One thing I've never understood about Democrats is they are never willing to criticize a single party member or say a bad thing about any of their policies.

On August 25, 2018, the Democratic National Committee agreed to reduce the influence of superdelegates by generally preventing them from voting on the first ballot at the Democratic National Convention, allowing their votes only in a contested nomination.

Yeah the Republicans do not use superdelegates.

See according to liberal logic an election is fair only when Democrats win.

Superdelegates are the Democrat establishment or deep state in action.

Republicans can admit they have an establishment Republican problem, but Democrats refuse to admit they have the same establishment problem, and superdelegates prove it.

--Cool. Now ask yourself, why do they support abolishing the Electoral College?
