Why do people refuse to accept the fact that Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were socialists? ?

The Nazi NSV predates the New deal, and Hitler was definitely ahead of his time. Does the following passages sound like something capitalists, conservatives, and republicans would be for?:

"The Nazis provided a plethora of social welfare programs under the Nazi concept of Volksgemeinschaft, which promoted the collectivity of a people's community where citizens would sacrifice themselves for the greater good [collectivism]. The NSV operated 8,000 day-nurseries by 1939 and funded holiday homes for mothers, distributed additional food for large families and was involved with a wide variety of other facilities.[7]

The Nazi social welfare provisions included old age insurance, rent supplements, unemployment and disability benefits, old-age homes and interest-free loans for married couples, along with healthcare insurance, which was not decreed mandatory until 1941.[8] One of the NSV branches, the Office of Institutional and Special Welfare, was responsible "for travellers' aid at railway stations; relief for ex-convicts; 'support' for re-migrants from abroad; assistance for the physically disabled, hard-of-hearing, deaf, mute, and blind; relief for the elderly, homeless and alcoholics; and the fight against illicit drugs and epidemics".

"The NSV was the second largest Nazi group organization by 1935, second only to the German Labour Front."

Update:

"These social welfare programs represented a Hitlerian endeavor to lift the community above the individual while promoting the wellbeing of all bona fide citizens. As Hitler told a reporter in 1934, he was determined to give Germans "the highest possible standard of living".

Update 2:

"The NSV was also involved in the distribution of soup to the citizens of Warsaw after the city's surrender;"

Update 4:

So far people are rejecting the facts that I've listed but they're not providing any evidence for their claims.

Because there are MANY who do not research or read actual history and just wait to be told what to think, when to think it, and how to think it.

TO many DEMOCRITS are just UNEDUCATED TO FACTUAL HISTORY.

Well, they were Socialists, but they weren't. The Nazi Party had it's roots in Wiemar Republic Socialism, but it didn't go nearly far enough for the German Workers' Party and the later Nazi Party.

Hitler was like someone who was worked at a company, who eventually leaves because they didn't like the direction the company was taking. They think they can do it better so they start their own company. Thus the new company (the Nazi Party) becomes superior, at least in their mind, than the old company's way (Wiemar Republic Socialism). The two companies are now in competition with each other.

This was the relationship with the Nazis and Socialists. The Nazi Party might have had roots in Socialism, but now considers itself different and superior to it. The Nazi Party took Socialism in a whole different direction.

Let's see.  Nazi Germany was defeated 75 years ago.  So what is your point?  Why should anyone care?  You have no concerns with anything in the present government?  Wake up to reality.

Oh. This is why the Nazis were bad:

They gave assistance to physically disabled,

blind, the elderly, homeless & alcoholics.

    ---Not because they murdered millions.

Okay, thanks.  -- you are a smart one.

And Pablo Escobar used drug money to help the poor. Evil people do charitable things to masquerade as good guys. That makes them even more evil.

    Because they weren't.

Who cares? Nazis were bad because the committed genocide and invaded everyone. Their economic system doesn't matter. If you legit are trying to argue the real reason Nazis were bad is because they had some social welfare programs... seriously go **** yourself.
