Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues?
Is this sentence correct:
"The picture features the Albireo system, in Cygnus Constellation, which is located about 415 light years away from hte Sun."
- A.J.Lv 71 week agoFavorite Answer
"the Cygus" is the only key error, missing definite article, but in choice of words,
"away from us" rather than away from the Sun
The system does not orbit the sun, so there is no reason to use it as a reference.
"picture features" may have a better word selection choice.
Photograph, drawing, movie, animation - more specific is better
"features" as a verb = prominent attribute

Lose the first comma, add "the" to Cygnus..., and correct the spelling of "hte".

Other than spelling, think about what the adjectival clause qualifies. What is "415 light years from the sun"? The Albireo system or the constellation? (hint: the stars in the constellation vary in distance from the sun, up to 1200 light years....)
"The picture features the Albireo system, which is about 415 light years from the Sun. It is in the Cygnus constellation.

Well, 'the' is spelt wrong, but you probably noticed that yourself. 8^)
I would say 'in the Cygnus Constellation'. THE Cygnus Constellation, like THE Albireo system.
