What kind of Star was the Star of Bethlehem when Jesus was born?

    It probably was not a star. It very likely was a conjunction of 2 or 3 planets relatively close to each other, Jupiter,Saturn and Venus. Probably Jupiter and Venus or Jupiter and Saturn. It was NOT a supernova. This kind of conjunction did happen at the correct time. It still happens today.

    Imaginary.   There is no record by anyone that this star existed.   No Roman, Greek, Hebrew, Chinese, Indian, Aztec, Mayan or Inca recorded it. It did not exist.  It is a made up story

    Lots of discussion what it could have been.  It might have been something just made up by the writers.

      It's the TIMING of the conjunctions that is NOT coincidental. Why are the Magi factual but the historical, NOT the Biblical, Jesus fictional? That is not logical.
