Considering going vegan. How can I avoid fiber overload?

Tried a few vegan, meals but it was causing diarrhoea, I was consuming too much fiber.

How can I avoid this?

    You would adjust over time.

Vegan here. fiber doesn't cause diarrhea. It can cause bloating.

But one meal won't do that.

Try including more veggies in your weekly meal plan gradually. One way is to start off with just including more of your regular meals that don't contain meat in your weekly meal plan. Then just modifying a few recipes so that they don't contain meat. and then adding some new stuff - maybe from a cookbook - that contain no meat. Try doing that over 3 - 4 weeks.

Excess fiber does not cause diarrhea. Most people get too little fiber. Your issues are typically getting in getting B12, absorbed iron, spectrum of needed amino acid absorption, sufficient Omego-3 oil.

Consider again. Veganism is for dirty, smelly hippies.
