Word to describe someone who doesn't give information out for free?

For example, someone that says "I might know a thing or two. But that'll cost you" or "I know what happened. But Im not going to tell you for free"

_________= A person that, when questioned or interrogated, will only provide an answer upon the receival of something for their own benefit; that is usually money.

    In that context ("interrogation implies some police or military action), I'd say "informant."  It's assumed that an informant is paid in some way.  Otherwise, they would be called a source or concerned citizen.

    There's many words. But ot depends on context.

    Fee agent: in real estate, one who sells apt. Listings.

    Informant: A private detective. Or some other that provides information on others. That can be used for various reasons, by others. eg. to police , finding old friends, advertising. 

    Consultant: advisor on business, or legal affairs. A type of profession

      In a legitimate capacity, the person is a paid 'informant.'  If a random person knows something you want to know, but won't tell you unless you pay, there is no one word to describe the person.  The person will share info for a price, or 'sell' info.
