disable it? from what? just remove the drive, or don't use it.

    • I think not possible. Because the option will not give to users to modify in bios. So completely remove the harddisk

BIOS/UEFI should be able to do it

you have to be careful and mindful that most dual disk systems involve the two disks being part of a pair. if you were to disable(disconnect) the 2nd drive then the 1st might not be bootable. Your bios Auto_Detect settings would need to be changed for the 2nd drive to NONE

2nd one is a CD/DVD?  Don't use it, or keep tray open.

We need to step back a little, why do you want to disable the “second drive”.

Also it isn’t that common for a laptop to have two drives, (unless you are referring to the DVD drive) more commonly it is just one drive with 2 partitions that appear as separate drives.

Update your post with the model number underneath the laptop, and the operating system, windows 7/8/10 and your initial reason for posting then we can help further

Can you, access the BIOS? If so, do it there.
