# Need help with Physics!!!?

1. Starting from rest, a car accelerates at a constant rate, reaching 92 km/h in 13s. Find its acceleration.

2.A plane leaves Beijing for San Francisco, 9497 km away. With a strong tailwind, its speed is 1010km/h. At the same time, a second plane leaves san fransico for Beijing. Flying into the wind, it only makes 577 km/h. A.) when do the two planes pass? B.) where do the two planes pass?

3. In a 400-m drag race, two cars start at the same time, and each maintains a constant acceleration. The winner’s acceleration is 6.35 m/s^2, and the winner reaches the finish line 248 ms before the loser does. By what distance is the loser behind when the winner reaches the finish line?

4.You're on a NASA team engineering a probe to land on Jupiter's moon Io, and your job is to specify the impact speed the probe can tolerate without damage. Rockets will bring the probe to a halt 120 m above the surface, after which it will fall freely. The surface gravity of lo is 1.8 m/s^2. What speed to do specify?

5.A castle's defenders throw rocks down on their attackers from a 15-m-high wall, with initial speed 13 m/s. How much faster are the rocks moving when they hit the ground than if they were simply dropped?

1) Acc = speed/time = 92/13 = 7.1 m/s/s

Damn, yes..... change 92 km/hr into  m/s

92000/3600 = 25.6 m/s

Acc = 25.6/13 = 1.97 m/s/s
