Hi.’how do I setup a router and cables to a server environment?

The exact setup will vary depending on what you want your server to do. Typically, you just plug in your server to your router like you would any other PC. Ideally you should configure the server's NIC with a static IP configuration. As far as the routing goes, again it depends on what you want to do with the server. Do you want it on its own private network? If so, you'll need to setup VLANs.

that is no simple one sentence (or even one paragraph) answer. it depends on what type of server, how you choose to set up your network, what people (users) will need, among many other things.
there is a reason Computer Science is a 3 year MINIMUM course in college. there is a lot to it...

You just plug in whatever you need into the ports on the router that are not marked "Internet or WAN" If you need more ports you can add a switch.

Plug in the ethernets to other ethernets (slight oversimplification)

You'd need to be way more detailed then that to get any sort of detailed answer.
