Have you never read a history book?
Persians come from Iran, not Greece, so not sure what you think the connection is.
When democracy was founded in Greece there was no United States and like the history of all those countries around for centuries before this their systems of government have changed and evolved.

That was Ancient Greece. The country had military rule from 1967 to 1974.

"Why is Greece known as the cradle of democracy?
Originally Answered: why is Athens Greece considered the birthplace of democracy? Because Athens (back then it was called Athenai), was where the concept of democratic society was first formed. The Athenians created a new kind of government where the people chose their leaders"
