How can we save Southeast Asian girls from being trafficked?

I would suggest anti-grooming laws. Many traffickers are approaching families with grooming practices. A good place to fight corruption and trafficking would be to make it illegal to use financial leverage against country families.

For instance, a law in my country prevents anyone lending to someone who is under a specific income level. These people can only approach charities and non profits for loans and charity. It's a horrible law, but it pushes a barrier in front of people seeking to do them harm.It really depends on which authority or government applies it though. Many governments are painfully incompetent in applying law in a highly effective way that addresses all the new issues created.

    Oh boy.

Many choose to be trafficked. Or they're sold by their own families to avoid poverty.

    Nothing new. Very old custom.
