Heaven and hell are within you. If you hate, there is hate in the world. If you love, there is love in the world.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 states:"“In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power.”

Lovers of God feel this is the  conditions of the world today. You can find  more information on www. jw.org.

No, or at least it doesn't have to be. People work to make it worse than it has to be.

Read this Scripture and see what you think. And if you think there is any hope if the world is actually dark and horrible - Psalm 92:7 - When the wicked sprout like weeds And all the wrongdoers flourish, It is that they may be annihilated forever. - - - - Wickedness and wrongdoing are more rampant on this planet than ever before in mankind's history. But, there is hope. According to that Scripture, the wicked and wrongdoers are going to be removed. Are there more Scriptures that support this? YES! Note these - Proverbs 2:21 & 22 - 21 For only the upright will reside in the earth, And the blameless will remain in it. 22 As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth, And the treacherous will be torn away from it. - - - - After that, you won't be able to find a wicked person anywhere on the planet - Psalm 37:10 & 11 - 10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. - - - - This is what the Bible speaks about when it talks about a "new earth" - 2 Peter 3:13 - But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell. - - - - How long will the righteous live on this new earth? - Psalm 37:29 - The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it. - - - - Is that the only place the Bible talks about a new earth? No - Isaiah 65:17 - For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be called to mind, Nor will they come up into the heart. - - - - Isaiah 66:22 - “For just as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making will remain standing before me,” declares Jehovah, “so your offspring and your name will remain.” - - - - Did you know that God wants everyone to know the truth about these things and to be saved in order to live on this new earth? - 1 Timothy 2:4 – whose (God’s) will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. - - - - Learning the truth about God and Christ leads to everlasting life on this new earth - John 17:3 - This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. - - - - Jesus said God's word is truth - John 17:17 - Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. - - - - There is no greater treasure to be found. Bible truth liberates us from superstition, confusion, and morbid fear. It gives us hope, purpose, and joy. Jesus said: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”—John 8:32. - - - - Yes, we can learn the truth from God's word. And that truth sets us free from the thought that this dark and horrible world will always be this way. But WHY are so many people all over the globe teaching so many different things from the Bible? Because they are being blinded by God's enemy - 2 Corinthians 4:4 - among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. - - - - And Satan gets people to mislead other people - 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 – 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing extraordinary if his ministers also keep disguising themselves as ministers of righteousness. But their end will be according to their works. - - - - But God's word of truth tells us how to protect ourselves from being misled or blinded - Acts 17:11 . . . carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. - - - - Since God's word is truth, we can expose false teachings for what they are. And we can make sure we are getting the truth. And as Jesus said at John 17:3, quoted above, true knowledge about God and Christ leads to everlasting life. - - - - I invite you to visit this web site that offers free Bible lessons. But ALWAYS examine the Scriptures carefully to make sure you are indeed getting the truth. The site is:
