Even though so many people in the US speak Spanish, is it still a "foreign" language?

It is our second national language. We have no official language.

Of course not. Spanish settlers lived in what is now the US since the 15th century,  LONG before the first Anglo settlers arrived. BTW, that explains the names of Florida, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California.

The US is an English-speaking Anglo country. Yes, Spanish is very much a foreign language here. Those who speak it are guests, not Americans.
