Because people aren't particularly interested in security camera footage, but no expense is spared on getting a close up peek of Uranus

Cause planets are not hiding, they enjoy the exposure, even though they may not be visible to the naked eye

Like if a man lies naked in his back garden on a summers day a woman can report  him, but if she lies naked in hers , the man gets arrested as a peering  tom

We would need the space to mount them.

The real answer is that they pay $3 million for the best  space camera and $27.50 for the security cam with $3 lenses.

What do you define as clarity? Can you see details on the ground of the planets?
