If someone were on an FBI watchlist, would there be a way to find out?

Could someone call the local Field Office and ask? Or is that kept secret from the one on the watchlist?

You  could go to a commercial airport, pay cash for a one-way ticket and see what happens as you approach the TSA checkpoint...

The FBI doesn't advertise who is on its watch list.

If you don't parrot acceptable opinion, expect to be on it.

I have been on it since just before 9/11, the lists didn't start following 9/11.

Joined politics to make sure I was on it in 2004, actually. I'll be writing a book.

Sure. If you are a crook and want to know if the FBI suspects you you can just call them up an ask.
