    That depends on your definition of desert. If you consider a desert to be any place that gets less than 10" of rain per year (or its equivalent), yes, Antarctica counts as the largest. I don't, because that isn't very descriptive or useful. A true desert has incredibly fertile soil. All you have to do is remove the rocks and add water. Presto! Instant agriculture.

    Seems like I may have heard this at one time. And it is a very interesting thought, that not much grows there and it's not that inhabitable. So by that definition, it's a desert.
