What are some exercises for an unift middle aged man?
Besides walking, swimming, racquet games, running?
The man is approaching age 50.

even a lump can do some kind of Calisthenics and slowly start to feel better, be sure to take iodine and ionic minerals as well as eating balanced, not processed foods, those will slowly zap energy til you feel weak.....

If you can see a physical therapist, that would probably be the best thing for you. They are experts at targeting how to keep your body in its best condition.
