Can you connect a GTX 1660 Super to a Monitor with only 2 HDMI ports and 1 VGA port?

If not, what's the best alternative?

Depends who makes the card but most manufacturers will have HDMI and if it doesn't, there are plenty of cheap DVI to VGA converters.

2 HDMI and a VGA? that sounds like a TV, not a monitor.

you really need to look at the ports you have and what you get before buying a video card.

that card is designed for newer devices that use DisplayPort technology. it typically has one HDMI port, but may vary depending on the model.

but any TV with a VGA port on it was likely not meant for gaming.

my recommendation is either a new DP monitor, or return the card for an older one.

if you're a big gamer, option 1, for sure...

Yes of course. You only need to use one connection on the monitor for the card. In other words, if your monitor has "only" 2 HDMI connections, then you plug in an HDMI cable into one of those HDMI inputs on the monitor and the other end of the cable into the HDMI port of the card. That's it.

Why wouldn't you be able to? Do they even sell 1660 Supers without HDMI ports? Even if there was one with only DisplayPort, finding DisplayPort to HDMI adapters is easy.

Yes you definitely can.  They sell cables that turn HDMI into just about any port you require.
