Because the United States, the European Union and world banking agencies wanted to root out corruption in Ukraine.  In order for Ukraine to survive as a democracy, free from Russia, all remnants of Russian/Ukranian corruption.  Republicans understood and supported the plan for Biden to instruct Ukraine to rid itself of the corrupt prosecutor.  Why Senate Republicans have amnesia now is a mystery.  Republicans aren't paying attention to details.

Are you referring to the letter written and signed by three Republicans supporting Biden's reform effort?  Three Republicans is hardly "Republicans" in the sense you are trying to convey.  LOL

As far as I remember Portman, Johnson and Kirk do not represent all GOP.  LOL

As facts are uncovered, opinions can change.  LOL

You don't care about facts.  If you did, you would have mentioned that this was a letter submitted by the U.S. Senate Ukraine Caucus and that there wernonly seven Republicans that were members of the caucus, thus making the three that did sign it, nearly half of the Republican  members.

Why did Nadler and Schiff vote against military aid to Ukraine. Then claim they didn't get the aid.

In 2018, Reps. Jerry Nadler, Zoe Lofgren, Sylvia Garcia and Hakeem Jeffries all voted against that year’s National Defense Authorization Act, which included $250 million in aide for Ukraine. Nadler voted against the NDAA again a year later, and an additional $300 million in aide.
