Does taking your newborn child to an adoption center cost money?

If you are thinking of the Safe Haven law which allows parents to safely give their newborns to any police or fire station, or hospital, no, there is no cost to do that.

Parents placing children for adoption are never charged, only the parents who are adopting through an agency.

You can drop off a newborn child at a fire station or hospital with no questions asked and no prosecution as long as the baby hasn’t been harmed.
