Are the socialist Democrats really ok with waiting in long lines when they get sick?

They like to point to other countries as examples. I was on a UK question/answer site about medical conditions.  They all were saying they had to wait months to get testing unless one had enough money to see a private doctor who does testing.   Social medicine is like that in all countries. The rich and rulers will have private doctors while the rest of us try to get care.

Dems are not proposing socialized medicine, you are right it does not work well..all successful modern industrialized nations do not use that, they use single payer, like our medicare. The only thing they got rid of is the private insurance company.

First of all, Democrats aren't socialist

Secondly, there aren't long lines for health care in countries with universal health care. If you are sick, you can make an appointment to see your doctor quickly, or go to a walk in clinic. If it's emergent, you go to the hospital, and are treated urgently, just like you would  in the US. Yes you would wait depending on severity, because it's based on a triage system, but you'd wait in the US as well at the ER. In Canada, we do have waitlists for testing like MRIs, but they're hardly ridiculously long.  If your condition is serious, (ie cancer), you get priority.

Additionally, we do have private imaging testing if you can afford it and choose to get it done quicker, as Canada has a two-tier system.

That way, everyone gets access to health care

Your assumptions are so far off. We already have single payer in our existing medicare system, and there are no wait times, just make an appointment. Although covered by medicare (over 65 yrs old) I still use the same doctor and medical clinic as I did before. The same clerk makes my appointments...no wait times..only difference is who pays the bills. That is exactly how single payer systems work. Its not socialized medicine, just socialized payer, doctors and medical facilities are exactly the same.

Actually the lines come for people that do not have insurance, and have to go to the emergency room when they get sick. With single payer, everybody has healthcare so everybody can just make an appointment. I think all of this misinformation is successful propaganda from the insurance companies...it does not pan out as you assume when you live it in reality.

You have an army ten times the size of China, and you use it to pick on small third world countries to steal oil. There's your money, if not taxes to the mega rich multi billionaires. You see the thing about that is, you have to pay no matter what, but since the rich use the government more for their wars for oil and heroin profits, than anything they give back, it's about time for them to pay more, and there are various ways to do that, point is, they owe you. They gave you a debt of a tenth of all the money in the world so they could sell you weapons, drugs and oil, which is causing the end of the world.

No, it isn't. Everything I say is true, although I have admitted to being a troll, it's the trolling of truth.

look at social medicine programs throughout the world, this is not always the case, and we have a chance to construct a program that would be able to eliminate the pitfalls that cause this in the countries where it is true
