Why is it called LGBTQ+? Why not just +? After all, people seem to think "+" doesn't diminish the sexualities that don't get a letter?

    Obviously, because that would be progressive. But look at the roar that Lesbians, Gays, and Transgenders make about using a progressive acronym like GRSM (Gender, Romantic, and Sexual Minorities). They don't care at all about the people not mentioned. That's why they routinely exclude them from their acronym .

    I agree. I think L+ is quite a good way of expressing it except that it's unlikely to be understood.
