Why is my heart so high during meals?

Mostly medium to large meals. Sometimes I think it can get up to 140. Why is this?

I think I can answer your question! My heart rate is high too after I eat. I think most people who pay attention to their heart would say after a pretty large meal they can feel an increase in their heart rate. This is because the digestive system needs a really good supply of blood to digest the food that's just been eaten especially if it's a large amount. This is the cause for the increase in heart rate. It's perfectly normal. Without this, we couldn't digest food properly. You have nothing to worry about. I hope I helped!
