How can I protect my home from a tornado?

You can't protect a traditionally built home from the force of a tornado. However, you can build down into a large self contained basement level, with air vents etc,,,

Build with holes in it so there's less surface area for the wind to pull at

You can't. A house hit by a tornado becomes kindling.

Built a giant 12 foot steel wall around your home. That's what Trump would do. Ask Mexico to pay for it.

Hard to do in the face of 100 mph or so winds. Perhaps build a brick house.
