what is opposite of enabler?

The term enabler used for a person in a derogatory sense means that person does for a friend what the friend can and SHOULD do for himself, so the enabler keeps their friend from improving.

What is the opposite, a term for somebody who holds other people accountable and does not "enable"?

A person who does not step in and take over for someone.

In psychology, an enabler is a person who makes it easier for another to continue down a destructive path. Outside of psychology an enabler may simply mean someone who helps another accomplish a goal.

The opposite of enabler (in psychology) may be a mentor, an experienced and trusted adviser.

I guess what I really want to know is the psychological term for somebody who is able to hold others accountable for their actions by providing facts in an argument that is inconvient for somebody to hear when they really want an enabler.
