Can a kitten kill a hamster?

I have a 9-month-old adult male syrian hamster. And I am going to adopt a two-month-old female kitten soon. My brother is against this. Is a 2-month-old cat dangerous to a hamster even when it is so young? Can a 2-month-old kitten kill an adult syrian hamster?

Likely not.  The kitten will be more curious, but the hamster could end up with a heart attack to to stress knowing the kitten is a predator.    An adult cat would certainly kill the hamster as its prey to them.

No. Hamsters are vicious. One killed me Basset Hound puppy.

A fully grown hamster will be very likely to kill the cat. I would keep the cat in a cage for safety.

Yeah. A kitten can kill a hamster. This doesn't mean you cant get a kitten. The hamster needs to be in a secure cage. One the cat cant get into or knock off a table. You can always keep the hamster in a room and keep the door shut as well so the kitten cant even get near the hamster.
