Is The Rise of Skywalker the last film of the series?

I’m not talking about spin-off films like Solo

No. There will be another three more movies based on the Sith and Skywalker family.

Although I am confident that Star Wars movies will continue to be made, even set after TRoS, I doubt that it will continue the story of the main characters of the Sequel Trilogy

I doubt it. Disney will want to juice that orange for all it's worth. That said, "The Rise of Skywalker" should be the last film in the series. A lot of loose ends were tied up. No real need to continue - except the fact that Disney wants to make more money from the franchise.

It's Disney, if they can make more money from it they'll extend it.

I hope so. They've butchered it enough.

Apparently there are plans for a new Star Wars trilogy, but it won't be part of the Skywalker saga. The new trilogy will be set in a completely different time period long before the current movies.

Probably. It should conclude the cycle.

Yrah they say the story of skywalker is over now, but who knows if they’ll make a sequel trilogy down the road.

Yes, after 40 YEARS. The Star Wars saga is over. But I'm sure there will be spin-offs.
