Any ways to help bursitis? ?

So I have bursitis in my left knee and have had it for almost 5 years. The pain gets worse sometimes to were I have to wear a brace. Any tips on how to help

Update:

I was diagnosed at 17 with bursitis and get steroid shots every three months and have a prescription for painkillers to take as needed

    Here in the UK this would be aspirated with a needle. We would also have tests to see why it is happening. We would certainly not be wearing a brace for years. Have you been diagnosed with arthritis?

    take a capsule of Glucosamine Sulfate 250mg

    plus Chondrotin Sulfate 200mg daily after

    breakfast

    this medicine is good for the knee joints

    your doc should have prescribed this

    please do not take any antibiotics

    Ibuprofen/aspirin/naproxen plus paracetamol plus ibuprofen topical gel (10% is best)

    Kinesiology tape

    Ice

    Rest

    Ask doctor if you need antibiotics
