Why are pawn shops so hard to sell to?

I've tried selling junk to them that sits here and collects dust over the years but nothing. I've tried yard sales but maybe one out of ten iems sold at rock bottom prices. I've tried donating junk but nothing. Please help.

It's junk. Pawn shops can't sell it at a profit. People at garage sales don't want it at bargain prices. Thrift stores know they can't sell it at all.

It's *junk*. Throw it away. Or put it on the curb and post a sign saying FREE.

Your answer lies within your question. Nobody wants junk.

They not only need to re-sell the junk that you don't want, they have to do it at a profit or they would quickly go out of business.
