Trump supporters, do you not get that Trump ordered the Ambassador to be fired?

He broke the law.

That might be what your liberal news sells you, but Trump can legally fire an Ambassador for any reason at all. Now on the other hand, the Bidens did break the law.

Presidents are allowed to fire Ambassadors for any reason or NO reason at all & it's not in the least illegal.

Apparently, when Trump got word that Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch was being so insubordinate as to "Serve her preferred 'Political Party" as opposed to serving "Her President's" interest while talking all manor of Turds & Trash about how much she hated him & hopes he gets impeached, he of course FIRED Her!                                                             And YUP! the order to Fire her was recorded,,So What! if "THAT's" not 'Lawful' grounds for firing an Ambassador then NOTHING IS!!!

@ annonymous be that as it may, Ambassadors don't even have to Like a president or his policies, but even if one doesn't , one Does have to at least Eat-sh*t & carry them out or resign. Doesn't change the fact that Yovanovitch was fired for writing checks with her mouth that her A*s couldn't cash.

Ambassadors work at the pleasure of the POTUS.  The POTUS is ultimately responsible for leading foreign policy.  And the State Dept and ambassadors are the tools for enacting policy and maintaining relationships.  There is nothing here to talk about.  As a business owner i can fire or lay off someone if they are not on board with the goals or philosophies of the company, or for misconduct or disloyalty (helping competitors), simple as that.

Not really. The question is if any potential personal gain was collateral to a decision made with the intent to benefit the country. Good luck proving that.

She should have been fired, she was trying to get him thrown out.  Go to any job and see what happens to you when it's known you are trying to get your boss fired.

No she wasn't, she was doing her job, and was good at it, it was YOUR idiot that threw her out, and the removal was baseless.

He's allowed to fire her---that's NOT the problem.

First, he tried to have her reputation destroyed... after decades of service to the country. Fighting corruption---the very corruption Trump later pretended to be soooo concerned with.

What don't YOU get that a president can fire an ambassador for any reason. I'm guessing you can't cite the law he broke in this case.

@ Sfancik FYI , an ambassadors job isn't 'Protecting U.S. interests',, it's "Representing the 'President's Foreign Policy 'Interests" or resigning if one doesn't like it,, hence the reason Yovanovitch was fired,,it's called insubordination & she deserved it.

It's not against the law for the president to fire an ambassador.

It's a violation of his oath of office to abuse that power though.  To fire someone for a reason opposed to the interests of the country and the people who elected him.
