If a tax website says your taxes are accepted and the IRS site doesn't your info is that a red flag?

It means the website is using SLOPPY language. It should say the file was transmitted and the IRS didn't reject it. The IRS computer won't even read the file until Jan 27.

No ones taxes have been accepted by the IRS for this filing season. They don't even open for efiling until Jan. 27. You won't be able to check the status of your refund for several days after that.

I don't think IRS has started accepting files yet.. You can file before they start & once they open for business it will push through & show the IRS has it then. This happens every year.
