Does the letter "S" in President Harry S. Truman stand for sausage?

It is certainly a cry for those who are middle initialless. Most of us take our middle initials for granted but some, like Truman, have to go through this life lost without a real center. They are forced to make up initials so people don't judge them too harshly. I think everyone should all donate to Children without Initials. I am the chairman of this newly created cause and will accept all donations and I will be sure they are spent where it is needed most.

No, it's been known forever that it stood for nothing.

He himself said "it doesn't stand for anything". (Apparently he wanted a middle initial.)
