Why are there no Christian theocracies? Are Christian values and rules not sufficient/suitable for societies to be based on them?

Rome during the Dark Ages was a Christian Theocracy...

Remember the Dark Ages when the Roman Catholics made non-belief in Jesus punishable by death.

Infighting over money and political power went on in the Church for centuries causing schisms and rebellions. Then in the 16th Century the Protestant Reformation split the Church. Today we have over 35,000 flavors of Christian...35.000 different bank accounts.

All this was the most financially successful hoax in history.

And it's still functioning as a hoax.

    • @Jay: You are a poor student of history. Catholic dogma didn't make non-belief in Jesus punishable by death. Atheism wasn't challenged one iota. Death sentences were carried out by the State, not by the Church. And they were for active heresies that purposely undermined the faith.

State religions always end in hate, bigotry and civil war.

Christian theocracy was the norm until a few hundred years ago in Christendom. And there are plenty of countries where it has undue influence, for instance Russia and the US.

We're down to one with the Vatican. That's what happens when you let the camel put his nose under the tent.

Vatican City is a Christian theocracy, but as far as I know it's the only one that still exists.

There have been - and while christianity/catholicism ruled, they mass murdered MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of people in the process over the past two millennia.

christianity claims BY FAR the highest body count of ANY group in earth's history.

A =/= B.  There's no reason for the existence of any theocracy.

And you can hardly call the Vatican a society.
