Are there warnings for 1st attempt before getting cited for campfire? Has campfire permit but was burning nearby jurisdiction w/o knowing.?

    That is up to the officer. If he/she wants to give a warning that is his/her choice. IF you are breaking the law, you can be cited, with or without prior warning. Ignorance of the law does not change that.

    The answer to this depends on where you are in the world. There are a lot of places you could be and a lot of variance in the laws.

      Yes, true. Was at a hunting/burning area by a campsite/creek. There has been history/proof of burning & existing firepit. Informed by previous campers that can burn there, by the rec dept, camp hosts thats ok to burn as long as we have a burning permit & we put out the fire properly but we got cited
