What is a colon in the human body?
Just looking for a general explanation.

The large intestine, also known as the colon, is the latter portion of the digestive tract, meeting the end of the small intestine on one end and the rectum on the other. It mainly removes water from solid waste, turning it in to the stool that comes out of the anus. If the colon does not function properly, one could have diarrhea (not removing enough water) or constipation (removing too much).

Simple: The bigger of the two poop tubes.
More complex: It is the large intestine, part of the digestive tract.
