If you were buying a house would you be put off if it had a swimming pool in the back yard?

    For me, no. We specifically sought out a house with a pool (or a pool worthy yard).

    However, a lot of people don't want to do the required upkeep and maintenance so it's not always seen as a selling feature.

    Yes.  Pools fill up with the Water Boatman bugs. Not only do they look pretty disgusting, but they also bite.

    Yes, I would be put off. Keeping it in working order requires a lot of work and/or money.

      No it doesn't.  We add chemicals once a week.
